2009 Central Coast Chardonnay

The state’s sublime sunshine and cool coastal orientation are key factors in producing our notable Chardonnay from estate vineyards in Santa Barbara County.  The addition of 10% Viognier lends the wine rich texture, lifted aromatics and a lovely floral quality.

Tasting note
With aromas of poached pears, caramel, butter-cream and brown baking spices this inaugural vintage of Emma Pearl Chardonnay highlights the best attributes of its Central Coast origin.  It has a rich texture in the mouth with a full creamy body and crisp finish with lingering notes of Meyer lemons, toasted cinnamon and sweet cloves.  It is wonderful to sip by itself or to pair with light appetizers such as brie and water crackers or main dishes of lemon butter chicken.
